Meet Valerie.

Valerie has been a nurse for 23 years. She currently works in labor and delivery in Beaumont while continuing her education in midwifery at Frontier Nursing University.

Caring for women has always been a passion of mine, and that passion is what inspired me to start The Maintenance Room.

Valerie opened The Maintenance Room with a clear goal: help women feel confident, refreshed and good about themselves, while living a life centered on serving God's purpose.

She also saw a need in the community for convenient, affordable services without traveling to a larger city, so she brought them closer to home, in a welcoming space where women feel comfortable and cared for.

The name says the rest: taking care of yourself is maintenance, something you keep up over time rather than wait on.

Care at The Maintenance Room is personal. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, talk through their goals and understand their options before deciding on anything.

Treatments are planned around the individual, and many services include a provider review to make sure they're appropriate for you.

Valerie and her family moved to Anahuac two years ago from the Mont Belvieu area, looking for a little more peace and quiet, and they've loved becoming part of the community. They attend First Methodist Church of Anahuac.

Her six children range in age from 7 to 24, and she's a grandmother to one grandbaby plus one bonus grandbaby. With kids in primary, elementary and high school, life is always busy.

I wanted to bring those services closer to home and create a welcoming environment where women feel comfortable and cared for.
